Minnesota turkey and prairie chicken season deadlines are coming

 July 30 is the deadline to apply for this year’s Minnesota prairie chicken and fall turkey seasons, the DNR said. The DNR is offering 186 prairie chicken permits and 10,430 fall turkey permits, and applications are available wherever hunting and fishing licenses are sold or online at mndnr.gov/hunting. This year’s fall turkey hunt, open to residents and nonresidents, is Oct. 2-31, while the five-day prairie chicken season opens Oct. 21.
